Hot School Meals Information
Hot lunches: Orders need to be made a week in advance and placed in the secure box on the wall in the Junior School reception by 9:30am on a Tuesday; this should be in a sealed envelope with the exact money, (£2.45 per meal,) or cheque made payable to Milford Junior School - these can be done on a weekly, three weekly, or termly basis.
Please note the collection box will close for orders, the last Tuesday before any holidays.
You will also need to include the choice menu clearly marked with your child’s name and class. If you are entitled to receive a Free School Meal, then please complete the choice menu in the same way and mark FSM.
The choice menu rolls over every three weeks and menus can be collected from reception or downloaded from our school website, (dated & non-dated.)
If your child is absent from school for any reason e.g. illness, school trips, appointments etc. and you have a hot meal booked, (either paid for or a *free school meal,) it is the parent’s responsibility to cancel their meal, this can be done via the school office, and has to be done by 9:30am on the day of the absence, or in advance, such as for a school trip. This will then be passed on to the kitchens for a credit or for you to amend from your next order.
Please note: If your child becomes poorly during the morning and has to be collected it will not be possible to cancel their hot meal if this is after 9:30am.
*The school is still charged by the caterer for any un-cancelled free school meals.
